Book promotion 500 YEARS OF PROTESTANTISM will be held on October 30, 2019 at the Evengelical Theological Seminary in Osijek, jointly organized by Centre for Democracy and Law Miko Tripalo, Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek and Institute for Social Research in Zagreb. The book editors are Ivan Markešić, from Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar and Centre Miko Tripalo, and Ankica Marinović, Institute for Social Research and Centre Miko Tripalo. The book was published in January 2019.,
International conference COPRODUCTION – COOPERATION BETWEEN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND CITIZENS will be held on November 11, 2019, jointly organized by Centre for Democracy and Law Miko Tripalo and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation. The conference is a first activity of Decentralization: the Role of Citizens in Local Public Services Delivery. It will bring together representatives of local government authorities, civil societies, researchers and foreign experts to discuss different forms of coproduction in providing of public services. The project manager is Vedran Đulabić from Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb and Centre Miko Tripalo.
The roundtable ILLIBERAL DEMOCRACIES will be held on November 28, 2019 at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Zagreb. participants will try to answer on two key questions: how illiberal tendencies have emerged in Croatia and, second, what can be offered as a solution. The event will be chaired by Đorđe Gardašević from the Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb.
International conference EUROPEAN VALUES, MEMBER STATES, AND THE FUTURE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION is the final part of the Centre for Democracy and Law Miko Tripalo’s Jean Monnet project European Values in a New Member States: Croatia in the First Five Years of EU Membership to be held on December 5 and 6, 2019. The conference will feature four panels on four European values: freedom, solidarity, justice and rule of law, and participation. The project manager is Dario Čepo from Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb and Centre Miko Tripalo.
A book SOCIO-DEMOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTION OF CROATIA is planned to be published. In the book, our members and expassociates analyze negative demographic trends, aging of the population and the departure of young people from Croatia by offering concrete solutions. Book editor is Vlado Puljiz.
